What do we do?
Our programme is varied and often flexible based on ongoing feedback from our members. In general, we will have a weekly meeting on Wednesdays and usually another social or activity each week.
These activities range from adventurous activities (Archery, Canoeing etc.) to socials (Pub Crawls, Christmas Meal etc.) to weekend camps across the country.

But I’ve never been in Guides/Scouts before…
No problem! No previous experience is necessary – just come and see what you’ve been missing. Scouting and Guiding are very easy to get into and everyone is very welcoming – you’ll be able to drop right in.
Can I be a leader?
Yes – we welcome anyone wishing to get involved in Guiding or Scouting locally (that said, it is NOT a requirement – many of our members are not leaders). We have contacts for Scouting and Guiding units based in Coventry, Kenilworth and Leamington so we can almost definitely find you somewhere to get involved.
Links with other Student Scout & Guide Clubs
Warwick has close links with some other nearby unis – we often run joint events or meetings with Birmingham as well as Leicester and Loughborough.
We are also affiliated to the National Student Scout and Guide Organisation (SSAGO) which connects students from across the country and from nearly 30 other Student Scout & Guide Clubs. SSAGO runs a national camp each term where we meet up with all the other Student Scout & Guide Clubs and have a weekend of fun activities, campfires and loads of other stuff!
Please note that many of our activities take place at Scouting or Guiding locations which we share with other users. As a result of this, you may have unsupervised access to children and so membership of SSAGO is subject to you receiving a satisfactory DBS check (formerly CRB). The national organisation has the right to decline your membership in the event of an adverse DBS check.
